General Info

Set along Bd du Bechay, 35800 Saint-Briac-sur-Mer, France, Le Restaurant Le Nessay feels like the kind of place you discover and instantly want to recommend. The location alone is charming, with the sea breeze nearby and a relaxed coastal atmosphere that naturally invites people to slow down and enjoy a good meal. From the moment you walk in, the restaurant strikes a comfortable balance between casual dining and refined seaside charm.

The dining room has an easygoing vibe, making it suitable whether you’re stopping by for coffee, meeting friends for brunch, or settling in for a longer meal. Despite the relaxed setting, reservations are required, and for brunch especially it’s wise to plan ahead. This small detail says a lot about the restaurant’s popularity. Locals and travelers alike seem to appreciate the experience offered here, and the steady flow of guests often reflects the positive reviews the place receives.

One of the highlights on the menu is the Homard, a dish that perfectly reflects the coastal surroundings. Fresh, flavorful, and carefully prepared, it’s the kind of plate that immediately stands out when scanning the menu. The kitchen focuses on quality ingredients rather than unnecessary complexity, allowing the natural flavors to shine. When served, the lobster arrives beautifully presented and genuinely satisfying, making it one of the restaurant’s signature choices.

Equally memorable is the Croque-monsieur À la Truffe, which takes a familiar French classic and elevates it with a rich touch of truffle. The result is indulgent without being overwhelming. The crispy bread, melted cheese, and earthy truffle aroma come together in a way that feels comforting yet slightly luxurious. It’s the sort of dish that makes you pause mid-bite just to appreciate the flavor.

For something lighter, the Saumon Fumé Avocado Toast is a standout option, particularly during brunch hours. Fresh smoked salmon layered with creamy avocado creates a balanced plate that feels both nourishing and flavorful. Paired with a good cup of coffee, it’s an easy favorite for those looking for a relaxed start to the day.

The restaurant also accommodates different dining preferences with vegetarian options, making the menu accessible without losing its French culinary character. Because the atmosphere remains casual and welcoming, guests often linger over coffee or enjoy a slow brunch while taking in the coastal surroundings.

Overall, Le Restaurant Le Nessay combines thoughtful cooking, a scenic location, and attentive service. The menu reflects both comfort and creativity, and the consistently positive reviews from diners suggest that the experience here leaves a lasting impression on anyone visiting Saint-Briac-sur-Mer.

What customers say?

“ The interior is beautiful, staff is very forthcoming and very nice and also speaks English. Have some coffee and cake on the terrace to have a wonderful view over the bay. ”

“ When first arriving, we had hesitation. Something about the paper menu and the decor made me nervous. But we were surprised by wonderful cooking, great use of seasonal vegetables, and perfectly cooked fish. Plus the service was excellent. ”

“ A restaurant I really enjoy, with a truly charming setting: a beautifully renovated old house, offering a warm and characterful atmosphere. The staff is friendly and welcoming, always smiling, and the menu features original and well-thought-out dishes, which is a real plus. However, the quality and generous portions could be improved. After a set menu of starter, main course, and dessert, you're left wanting more… It's a shame, because the flavor is there, but the portions are a bit too small. This place has everything going for it, but the experience would be truly complete with slightly more substantial dishes. For example, adding a few more slices of zucchini to the plate wouldn't cost much, but would significantly enhance the feeling of satisfaction. The same goes for the dessert: the idea of pineapple carpaccio (thin slices) is nice, but with only five very thin slices, it's a bit underwhelming to finish a meal. Nevertheless, I will return, because the place has charm, potential, and the welcome clearly makes the difference. ”

“ I had a great time at the Nessay restaurant. The staff is very friendly, the food is good, and the perfect amount to enjoy a good meal. The location is also beautiful. ”

“ As a Breton native and having been a student at the Dinard Hotel School many years ago, I enjoyed this very friendly place with its very pleasant staff and elegant decor. And this majestic setting was truly the ideal location for filming the ITC series. I'll be back, but this time I'll take the time to enjoy these cakes and other dishes... ”

“ Had a delicious meal with an original menu for a good price (€40 for 3 courses) HOWEVER I was extramly schoked and saddened to see the exorbitant price of the drinks. €7 FOR A BOTTLE OF WATER. REALLY !!!!! And it's "smartly" done as they ask "would you like a bottle of work to start" without of course mentioning the price. A glass of wine is 9 - 15 euro and first price bottle around €50 and it's nothing special. This left a bad taste in the mouth (pun intended ) The staff were very nice. Overall worth a visit but bring the hip flask ”

“ We enjoyed brunch in a beautiful setting for Toto's birthday. A moment we won't forget! As for the food, we weren't disappointed... There was a wide selection to suit all tastes. A moment of sharing, pleasure, and conviviality... A special thank you to Chef Corentin, who delighted us with his delicious meal, and to June, who is a true ray of sunshine. Simply thank you to the whole team for this wonderful experience! ”

“ Incredible Sunday lunch brunch. The all-you-can-eat sweet and savory buffet was very well stocked. Varied choices for all tastes. Seafood, cheese, charcuterie, salad, bao... The same goes for the desserts. The price per person is rather high for a brunch, but it's totally justified by the menu items offered from A to Z. P.S.: The setting, both indoors and outdoors, is beautiful. ”
